The Willow at the Edge

Bonnie was done with the road, content with her life teaching music and performing in her hometown. Or so she claimed. When the invitation to participate in the Phoenix Competition arrived, she intended to say no. That part of her life, striving for better gigs, maybe even a recording contract–that was her old life.

She intended to turn down this opportunity, but after urging from her family and friends, she finds herself back in the spotlight, playing her unique brand of rock and roll featuring her hundred year old hurdy-gurdy.

When she gets to the competition, she finds old rivals and new opponents, but they are surprised to be stuck in situations and locations they never imagined–never would have believed possible, in fact. Getting back to the business of winning will take a concerted effort by the rivals.

“The Willow at the Edge” is an urban fantasy that will entrance fans of Kim Harrison’s Hallows series and Seanan McGuire’s October Daye.
